UNHOLY DISCOUNTS ON PREMIUM BIGGIES
It takes a Villiger: super-smooth 'n creamy 6x60 Dominicans $1.75 From what I'm told, there are occasions when an expensive charcuterie tray, passed hors d'oeuvres, and the gentle clinking of silverware and crystal are called for. But more often than not, getting elbows deep into a $20 monster plate of BBQ brisket or big ass pork plate with all the fixin's answers the bell. This deal is the latter, one for the working man which brings a lot for a little. Villiger Villa Dominicana leads the charge with a chonkin' 6x60 Gordo size that's $1.75 per stick. Loads of uber-tasty smokin' for the money here. It hails from La Aurora, the oldest factory in the Dominican Republic, crafted from aged Dominican and Nicaraguan long-leaf fillers and finished with lovely Connecticut Shade wrappers. Wrappers usually reserved for country club blends at bigger bucks. Full smoothness but accompanied by some richness, sweet cream, cocoa, coffee bean, and even a touch of spice on the back end. Backing that up are a few other sub-$2 options from Nicaragua. The 125th is solid everyday blend of Nicaraguan long fillers with an oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper aged since 2009. Medium in body and earthy with notes of cedar and pepper. Selectos Connecticut is a creamy, smooth concoction of Nicaraguan leaves encapsulated by a premium Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. Consistent, balanced, elegant with cedar notes and nice finish. Selectos Maduro is a bolder, complex blend of Nicaraguan fillers with a San Andres Maduro wrapper. Hints of pepper, earth and coffee-like nuances throughout. | | | | Email us: help@cigarpage.com Mon - Fri: 9am - 7pm Brandshopper, LP. 6771 Chrisphalt Drive.
